Projects

Recently I finished a teaching as research (TAR) project through the Center for the Integration of Research Teaching and Learning (CIRTL) at UIOWA that also served as the capstone project for my 2016-2017 Teaching Fellowship through the Center for Teaching. I designed a model for a 'partially' flipped college Trigonometry course that featured instructional videos created through the Doceri for iPad app, an assessment based on those videos, and one flipped class period per week. This project primarily served to inform my own teaching practices. I plan to refine the model in the future to show how it can be applied to large lecture based courses.
